Hunter Brown is dealing only two hits allowed and no walks, six strikeouts for the Astros. Dodgers lead the Mets 4-1, bottom of the 6th at City Field. Cardinals 7-0 lead over the Reds, bottom of the 7th in St. Louis. And the Rangers a 5-1 lead over the Mariners in the bottom of the 6th inning in Texas. But we left off talking college football, specifically the pressures surrounding Arch Manning and Texas this season. In the wake of SEC media days, we heard from head coach Steve Sarkeesian about how Arch dealt with the pressures last year and how this year is poised for a big, big season. What do you think of Sarke's comments that he said this week about Arch dealing with the pressures and how he had a great second half of the season? No one's denying that, but is he poised to take a major step forward here in the 2026-27 season?

Yeah, I appreciate you have me on, Scott. I do. I think I'm going to buy Arch and the Longhorns year number two, kind of year after the year.
I thought the hype was ridiculous last year coming into the season. I mean, having a true freshman or a not, he was not a true freshman, but his first career start against a Power 4 at the shoe last year, I thought the expectations weren't realistic, but that's what comes with the Manning name. But I thought he played well in the second half, especially in that A&M game, the Arkansas game and the Vandy games. I think he is going to take a step in Sark's offense, which is definitely quarterback friendly.
I think Texas is good enough to win the SEC, get to the college football playoff and win a national championship. And if you're in those categories, I definitely think you have a chance to get back and maybe win the Heisman this year compared to last year where he just underachieved.

Yeah, I talked about it last segment. But I think the Ohio State game kind of changes everything. If you think that they beat Ohio State, and right now, I mean, I saw on DraftKings, they're one and a half point favorites at home against Ohio State in week two. If you think they beat Ohio State, I think that you have to bet Texas now, because you know that after they win that game, the market completely flips, right? Everyone's going to be all in on Arch Manning. Everyone's going to be all in on Texas. If you think they lose that game, then I think you wait until week three and then place your Texas futures because you're going to get a much better number because it's going to be the opposite. Everyone's going to be out on Arch. Everyone's going to be out on Texas if they lose to Ohio State when you know that the non-conference loss doesn't hurt them in their outlook to win the conference and make the college ball playoff.
