July the 25th be with you on a Saturday afternoon. Welcome on in to Live Bet Saturday. I'm Dustin Swedelson, he's Ben Stevens. Don't go anywhere. We got you covered with all the live action for the next four hours right here on VSiN, These Sports Betting Network. Fun show lined up today as we've got one baseball game currently in action, four in the next hour, three in our final hour of the program. We've got the WNBA All-Star game. Ben's gonna be all over that. I know he's very fired up to discuss it later on in the show. Plenty of football, by the way, as SEC media days comes to a close, some teams I am more confident in believing. One, I went in on the win total already. I'll run that by Ben later on in the program. And the big story of the week, the weekend maybe of the entire NBA season has gone down this week and that is LeBron James going to the Philadelphia 76ers. We'll touch on all that more over the course of the next four hours as I welcome in my partner here, Ben Stevens. You can follow the show at VSiN Live at Dustin Swedelson at Ben Scott Stevens. How you be on a Saturday, my friend?

Dustin, I be very good because I'm alongside you for four hours of fun here on Live Bet Saturday. Not a ton that is happening live as we start our show, as you alluded to, only one Major League Baseball game currently in action. We did just see history in the Motor City. Salvador Perez is 318th career home run, the most ever by a Kansas City Royal for Salvi in this game, which tied it up at two apiece in KC trying to take the lead now in the top of the eighth with only one out gone. But we've got more baseball that begins at 4 p.m. Eastern time. We've got more baseball later into the afternoon and evening hours across this sport on a Saturday slate. I'm very excited to talk a lot of football with you. Conference media days in full. The SEC coming to a close this past week. Big 10 media days starting on Tuesday in Chicago. In five weeks from this very moment, you will turn on your television screen and you will be watching multiple college football games during week zero. It is an awesome start to the college football season in 2026
And I know we're going to have some fun with it, making a preview and an early look at it on this Saturday.

As you mentioned, we're nodded up at twos with Detroit and Kansas City in the eighth inning. Your in-game total, six and a half, plus one on one with the Royals on the road, minus a dollar thirty two with Detroit. Kansas City, though, has a runner on first base and Lane Thomas at the dish. He's for three on the day, facing a righty. He's more of a left handed killer from the right side of the plate. But if he can get something going here, they could be in a good position to upset Detroit on the road in Detroit. So this game closed, just want to get my notes here because I know I wrote it down, plus one thirty eight with Kansas City, Detroit minus one sixty seven. You can either get a discount on Detroit if you're feeling into that side of things or you can still get just above a plus price with Kansas City on the road. If you are so inclined as Lane Thomas swings at strike number two and he's facing a one to count here in the eighth. I kind of thought about going over on the total. It did just move down. Now it's back up to six and a half.
It feels like extra innings might be inevitable. And we all know that's where unders go to die.
These two offenses not looking great today. I do like long term. If you go back the last couple of months, the Detroit offense has been really good, man. And it's a big reason why they've surged to the point that they are where they're questioning if they need to trade Terrick Scoobel at the deadline as it approaches. But over the last few months has been one of the best teams in baseball. The Detroit Tigers tied with Boston 28 and 16 since June 1st. That is something that I feel like is flying a little bit under the radar.
I would lean Detroit to get the job done. But now at minus 175, I'm not going to do it as Lane Thomas has struck out to bring the second out in the eighth inning. But the story of the day, my friend, and it's going to be the story for a few, is that LeBron James is a Philadelphia 76er. I'll tell you this. When I saw the teams that were on the final list, and I'll include Golden State here, is you had Miami in the story of going home. I didn't love the taste in my mouth as a LeBron guy, of him going back there and going full heel on the way out the door, because that'd be the lasting memory you have of him at the end is in Miami again. Cleveland, I thought, made a lot of sense for nostalgia, for winning another championship because that roster is so good, and they desperately need a leader to bring them together, and he would be that guy, and it'd be such a way to go out on top if he could deliver another championship to the city of Cleveland. Then you add teams in the mix like Golden State, that would have been fun, but it was more of a novelty than it was a destination where he'd win. The more I think about Philadelphia, the more I love it for his legacy, Ben. You think about winning three championships, three different organizations, but more importantly, if he does it in Philly, which has been a franchise during his tenure in the NBA, that has had so many ups and downs, believing that they were gonna get it right, trusting the process, the taking for picks, trading the pick for Jason Tatum, for Markel Foltz of all people, the Ben Simmons debacle, always trying to put lipstick on a pig. I think it gives him another nice piece to the resume if he can bring a championship to the 76ers.
