Welcome to August. Football is around the corner. We have plenty to do.
And the stone cold Steve Austin of college football made a statement earlier this week. I will ask Ben about what went down at Big Ten Media Days with all of that and more. But right now, we've got live baseball action that we are currently sweating out. Third inning in Seattle, three nothing Mariners on top of the twins. Randy Arroz Arena cashes a five to one homerun prop for your boy here. Threw that up on the Twitter page at Dustin Swedelson earlier today, Seattle up three nothing, which hurts our first five on Minnesota, plus a half a run. We are going to city field here for an update where the Marlins lead three nothing at the Mets. A review of Otto Lopez, I believe, or Ruiz trying to get the third base.
I don't know what they ruled this on the field. Did they rule him out? I think he might be safe. That could be another run as Zach Thornton, who's been cruising for the last four starts for the lefty for New York. One and two thirds, four hits, three runs, two earned, one homerun, and he's thrown 42 pitches and he is not out of the second inning. I would say Zach Thornton, this officially makes you a New York Met, a performance like this. And then down in Tampa Bay, Junior Caminero, my great number of 40 to one for ALMVP.
He homered for the 30th time last night. He has a chance to score the first run of the game or plate the first run of the game. A runner on second, Noah Schultz is in after Jordan Hicks opened. We're scoreless in the fourth, but Tampa Bay with one out in the fourth has a runner in scoring position. And in Toronto, Ben, 2-1 is still your score. Blue Jays lead the St. Louis Cardinals, seventh inning. And it looks like Braden Fischer is on to take on the number nine hitter Crooks in the top of the order for the St. Louis Cardinals.

And it's interesting here for Toronto in this spot, because you get to the top of the order here in the top of the seventh, a really good back end of the bullpen and a one run game. You would expect to see either Jeff Hoffman or Louis Varland at a certain point to close this thing out. And St. Louis is going to have some more hacks. But if you get through the top of the order, you're going with the heart and maybe the bottom of the order by the time you reach the ninth inning. Toronto has a 2-1 lead. Ooh, they just moved it. Live total was 5 1⁄2, Dustin. That was going to be my point. And there was only about minus 1 3⁄8 in terms of the juice on the under of 5 1⁄2. They have dropped it to 4 1⁄2, the under rip plus 1 25 with three runs scored in this game. I'm not so sure we are going to see a ton more of offense in Toronto, either from the Jays or the Cardinals, having belief in a Blue Jays bullpen that has the fifth best war, wins above replacement rating as a unit in all of Major League Baseball. Total has plummeted, not that it was a high total to begin with, it was 7 1⁄2 pregame with Drew Rasmussen and then Jordan Hicks into Noah Schultz for Chicago, but it has plummeted to 4 1⁄2 and the under has the juice at minus 1 40 Yachty Diaz leading off this fourth inning for Tampa with a single. It was the first base runner in the opening four frames for the raise at home at the trop. And Drew Rasmussen has been great on the other side, quelling that very good offense for the White Sox as well. So that total 4 1⁄2 have we hit its valley, it's 3 1⁄2, now some juice on the over.
We are going to more than likely see some runs in this game. And with where that has gone, I will keep a keen eye on that total. Maybe looking to the over and the offenses as we get deeper through this game and seeing these lineups for the third time or seeing these pitchers for the third time, maybe seeing some runs scored. Not going to jump in just yet, but it has dropped all the way to 3 1⁄2, and the juice on the over is palatable at minus 137
