Back on Live Bet Saturday, he's Ben Stevens, I'm Dustin Swedeleson. Be a part of the show, hang out with us. What are we firing on as we have three Major League Baseball games about to get going in the next 10 minutes here at VSiN Live at Ben Scott Stevens at Dustin Swedeleson, and our boy Quinn Matthews in a bit of trouble right now, north of the border at Roger Center. Base is loaded, two out, bottom of the third, and the bases are loaded for the Jays. They just plated the first run of the contest. One nothing is the lead, and I didn't see who drove them in. Oh, it was George Springer, who is currently being shopped in the market. One of many names that's potentially available off that Toronto Blue Jays roster that was just in the World Series a year ago, and we need our guy Matthews to get a little ground ball action. The one positive I would say here, Ben, is that Gossman on the other end has not been perfect. Three innings, five hits, no runs, two strikeouts. He has flirted with disaster back to back innings. We need the Cardinals to make them pay on that first five that were sweating.

Yes, we absolutely do. And we need our young Prince and Quinn Matthews to get the best of Dalton Varsho here with the bases juiced for a second time this inning. This would be the concern for a rookie making his Major League Baseball debut, although highly touted and highly promised on the road, because it's not just his second time through the lineup. It is the second time the Blue Jays have seen Quinn Matthews in his Major League Baseball career and they have taken advantage. It is not great that he was facing Davis Schneider for the first time. The nine hole hitter for John Schneider, and he walked Schneider. Greg mentioned, Greg Peterson, who joined us in the opening hour, some of the command issues that the young and talented left arm of Quinn Matthews had at the AAA level in 2026 for that Memphis organization under the Cardinals' umbrella. He has bounced back here with a couple of strikes against Varsho trying to get out of this frame. And it was some of the walks he has ushered up to free passes in this top of the third that George Springer was able to take advantage of. It was a walk to Alejandro Kirk that loaded the bases once again for Quinn Matthews to get out of this jam. But listen, if this guy has the stuff, if he's got the goods, if he's got the moxie to be a front line starting pitcher for the St. Louis Cardinals for generations to come, then he gets out of this inning and makes Dustin Swedeleson and myself, and Stephen's very pleased here to start our second hour on Live Bet Saturday and gives us some hope that against Kevin Gossman in the top of the fourth, excuse me, that we will be able to have some runs and some offense generated for the Redbirds.

I mentioned it last segment, but for those that missed it, these are up at vsin.com/picks. You can see picks from Ben, myself, every single show here on the network. I'm on the Minnesota Twins first five. We went plus a half a run, minus one 14
I'm also on Zach Thornton against the Marlins. Over 16 and a half total outs recorded. The last game that I didn't have an official play on, maybe we look for an embedding opportunity, is the White Sox at the raise. I just don't like a lot of the numbers here. Tampa Bay minus 175 with Drew Rasmussen on the hill. Jordan Hicks is gonna open for Noah Schultz. They're plus 144 on the road. The total seven and a half Ben.
I thought about maybe Rasmussen over five and a half strikeouts. It just, it felt like it was right on the edge for me, whether he gets to six. So I didn't get there with it. But if, if Chicago were to score first, would you think Tampa Bay, because Schultz coming in behind the opener, he has not looked as sharp lately, the big lefty for the White Sox.

The kid from Naperville for his team and the Chicago White Sox, I'm pretty sure Naperville is the southern suburbs of Chicago, but you can check me on that. I love this White Sox team, Dustin, and I'm so happy that we get to watch them basically each and every Saturday, because you were the first to put me onto them in the middle of May, that if we are going to talk about the Southsiders this season, it would be followed with nice words, which was very surprising for a team that just two years ago lost 121 games, the modern record for the most losses in a single season in Major League Baseball. We have two divisional front runners, two divisional favorites, squaring off on the first day of August. And one of those teams is the White Sox that has the larger divisional lead, by the way, a three-game advantage over both the Guardians and the Twins entering this Saturday slate. Courtesy of a Chicago win yesterday at the TROP, they got in that game to Nick Martinez, which not many have. He's an all-star, just like the veteran Drew Rasmussen is this year as well. Seven runs scored between both teams, six for the White Sox, all runs in the game, courtesy of the long ball. And Munnetaka Murakami in Colson, Montgomery, two runs shots. Montgomery's price to hit another home run today, plus 429 at the TROP. Murakami closer to plus 320 I'm almost looking at this game as a live betting instance that maybe we can go to that live total if we continue to get some offense. This Tampa team against Jordan Hicks into Noah Schultz, maybe some offense there, but I do think the White Sox have enough pop to even get after Drew Rasmussen, an all-star this year, in his most recent start on Sunday against Cleveland. Seven innings of nearly perfect baseball did not allow a single run, only a hit in recorded nine punch outs. So I'm a little bit wary to back any offense until I see it for the White Sox today, but I'm really happy we have this game in our window. It's just a ton of fun to talk about.
