Jose Alvarado coming back to the Knicks. Three-year contract, $14 million.
He opted out of the player option, which was about four and a half million bucks. And he and the New York Knicks got the deal done. It was just announced. Jose Alvarado, New York City kid, now has a three-year contract, guaranteed money, $14 million and we are absolutely running it back. For a second consecutive championship attempt. So good to see our backup point guard and probably pound for pound. Maybe our toughest player, pound for pound. So Jose Alvarado coming back to the Knicks.

Likely to be Gone with the Wind. Now, I'm not saying he's coming back, but that's not done yet. Just because you read it doesn't mean it's real.

If Carl Anthony Towns doesn't demand the max, max, max, it is possible to get both guys done without being under the second apron or above the second apron. I'm not saying it's likely, it's possible.
It's about Carl Anthony Towns. If Carl Anthony Towns does what Jalen Brunson did, then you can get both guys signed to multi-year deals.

Selfish isn't the right word, but let's use it. If he's not selfish, then yes, I think there's a chance both guys come back. And my take has always been, I respect the fact it's about money. It's always about money. And your job is to get as much money as possible. That's for the average person. Because there's a big difference between making 60 grand a year and 80 grand a year. That's a significant difference at that level. When you're making $60 million a year, there is no difference between 60 and 65
No difference at all other than ego. And I understand everybody wants to compare themselves. How much do you make compared to that guy? And because your salaries are public, you know to the penny what guys make. But I'd be the guy, and I've done it throughout my career, and I don't make anywhere near that kind of money, where a good deal is a good deal. And if me taking a little bit less lets you have a job, then I'm your guy.
Why do you think Al Dukes is still working here? Because I always took less.
That's why he's employed by WFAN. And that's not hyperbole. I probably shouldn't say it. But that's why he's made it here, as long as he's made it. Because unlike some people that work at the fan, I've always taken less.
Because a good deal is a good deal. I'm not after every nickel in every single room.
