I started this show documenting my path to leaving corporate America, to quit my job, to travel the world. And then in 2022, I did that. And when I really, really got serious about this podcast, I started up the company, Action Academy, our mastermind that now has 436 members growing like crazy. And in the summer of 2022, I said my goal for our community and for this podcast is if I could have one other person, not only quit their job, leave corporate America, build a million dollar company, but also travel the world with their family, then I would have accomplished everything that I set out to do over the last four years. And everything on top of that accomplishment would be gravy. In today's episode is that story with Landon and Carly Blue.
Landon joined Action Academy in 2023 with a few single family rentals and small multifamily and eventually caught the bug with land flipping. If you guys haven't heard his previous episode, he built a million dollar a year land flipping operation, taking home over $500,000 net take home profit. In one year ago today, Landon came on this podcast directly after quitting his corporate job to share his entire Action Academy story and how he pulled it off. Yeah, currently we're in Barcelona, Spain for now. Saturday, we leave Saturday morning for Lake Como then.

Yeah, we've been in Barcelona for a month and we're going to Lake Como for a month.

Yeah, that's insane. So walk us backwards. 2023, you guys join Action Academy. So for people listening, this is Landon and Carly, both in the call, so Landon has his wife on. So we're going to be getting really cool perspectives both on the investment side from Landon but also on the life design and the emotional side with Carly about what this journey feels like for you guys going from pure corporate to pure living in freaking Europe full time, running a multi-million dollar company that's printing out multi-millions of profit. So walk us through 2023, 2024, and now 2025
We're starting like you guys joined Action Academy back in 2023

Yep, definitely. Yeah, I joined it was May of 2023 So like almost two years, like to the day I also joined Action Academy. So at the time I was pretty much doing BERS and different things. Anybody that listened to the podcast last time, I had as a lot of us do that Shiny Object Syndrome. Started with BERS, moved into a little bit of multi-family, bought a four unit, did some seller financing things. Basically, I got a mid-term rental going, hated it all. Listened to an Action Academy podcast as I was joining Action Academy about land flipping. Decided to go all in on land flipping. It was a decision that I made that I felt like the best path for me because we want the cash flow. We weren't getting that from the rentals. We're getting net worth boost, but no cash flow. Then it also afforded us the freedom to be in Barcelona for a month or Lake Como for a month. So we ended up getting married end of 2023, and then started with land investing at the end of 2023 as well. Went in, was surrounded by a really good pod and a really good community within Action Academy. Then I was able to quit my job. I submitted my notice like a year ago to the date that we're recording this today. So finish that up in, I guess, it was the middle of June, I think, is when I actually went full-time into a land investor. Been doing it ever since whatever that is, nine or 10 months now. Since then, it was very difficult. I guess I would say as I quit that job, I was listening to the podcast and just the emotion that you had when you quit is, can I do this? Can I really take that leap? Now, looking back on it, it was like, I should have done that way sooner. But yeah, we've been able to. Last year was crazy.
