Rolling Stones on a Thursday, why not? Meanwhile, New York Giants rookies report to training camp July 23rd. Let me check my handy dandy calendar. That means today. The New York Giants training camp is not all open yet, but the youngsters are in the building, and the New York Giants training camp has begun.

**Chris McMonigle** (0:19)
And there was a little bit of news with the New York Giants. Jordan Renan, who covers the team for ESPN, is reporting that he will not be, excuse me, Malik Nabors will not be on the puplist to start camp. He will not be on, physically unable to perform.

**Craig Carton** (0:37)
Is that right?

**Chris McMonigle** (0:38)
We don't know exactly what that means.

**Craig Carton** (0:40)
I don't think he's playing week one, though.

**Chris McMonigle** (0:41)
I don't know what it means. I don't think that means he's out there full practice as everybody else, but he's not on the puplist.

**Craig Carton** (0:48)
That's positive, for sure. Let's not diminish that.

**Chris McMonigle** (0:50)
And again, it's being reported. The Giants haven't confirmed it. They haven't put out the list yet. But he's reporting that it's expected that Malik Nabors will not be on the puplist.
So that's a positive.

**Craig Carton** (0:59)
That's definitely a positive, because there's been nothing but negativity around the extent of the injury, going back into operating, cleaning out again, and his own admission. You know, he's not where he thought he would be at this stage of recovery, blah, blah, blah.
If you get Malik Nabors in September, I think that's a win. Wouldn't you say as a Giants fan, like, you would sign up for that today, like, September 20th, week 2, September 27th, week 3 I think you would sign up for that today, because based on everything else prior to Jordan Renan's report, I'm thinking October.

**Chris McMonigle** (1:36)
No, I know. But now you would think if they were thinking October or November, that he would be on the Pup List.
This gives him an opportunity to play in one of the first four games of the regular season. Because you're on the Pup List, you can't play the first four games.

**Craig Carton** (1:47)
Right. You get him in September to win. I agree. That's the only way to look at it. That is potentially positive news.

**Chris McMonigle** (1:54)
Well, it depends. If you get him back and he looks like himself, then it's a win in September. But if you get him back and he's like, he's on a pitch count, for lack of a better term, and he's only out there for a handful of snaps, and he's not playing every drive, I don't know.

**Craig Carton** (2:08)
Yeah, it is interesting.

**Chris McMonigle** (2:08)
He's got to be an important element to this team. Him, Scadaboo, coming off of injury, they're important pieces for this offense.

**Craig Carton** (2:15)
It'll be interesting, once all the veterans are there, and every guy there, and now the training camp has officially begun, and you're putting your plays in, and game plan type stuff in, and we're getting a sense of how the Giants look, and who's rusty, and who's not, and all that nonsense that we all overreact to, as we always do, in August. It'll be interesting to see not just neighbors, but how active is Scadaboo, like doing a backflip in a building is a lot different than cutting on a field and taking a hit in live practice, which I don't think you're gonna see much in live practice, either one of those guys. They're not gonna let anybody tackle anybody, right? And then of course, John Arbo has never seen Jaxson Dart up close and personal the way he's going to see him at this training camp. It'll be interesting to see how Jaxson Dart looks now that he is the guy.
This is his team now.

**Chris McMonigle** (3:13)
First, yeah, you're right.

**SPEAKER_3** (3:14)
We haven't seen that yet.

**Chris McMonigle** (3:15)
No, we have not. He is entering camp as the undisputed guy. He's the franchise quarterback.

**Craig Carton** (3:22)
I think he's the face of the franchise now, too.

**Chris McMonigle** (3:24)
Oh, it's him and John Arbo.

**Craig Carton** (3:25)
Absolutely right.

**Chris McMonigle** (3:26)
Him and the coach are the face of the franchise. There's no doubt.

**Craig Carton** (3:29)
So the pressure on that changes. You know, obviously, the fans' willingness to deal with mistakes changes.

**Chris McMonigle** (3:36)
Yeah.

**Craig Carton** (3:36)
Like, it's one thing when you come in on week six, and, okay, we know you're a rookie. We're expecting you to struggle a little bit because you're a rookie, right?
