Got another Yankee game tonight.
Aaron Boone spoke again about the lollipop incident with Jazz Chisholm, which seems completely crazy that we've spent so much time on it today, but obviously a lot of people have opinions on it. Also real quick, the NCAA by tomorrow is going to ratify a new deal with this D1 cabinet that I believe President Trump set up with a whole bunch of college athletic coaches and ADs and whatnot. They're going to have what they call the five and five plan, which is you have five years of eligibility period stop, that's it.

So you have five years to play college sports. The only exceptions would be military, a pregnancy, or religious missions. Outside of that, D1 schools, there's going to be the five and five rule for eligibility.
I looked into it. The Patriot League, which is a D1 League, still as of right now does not let graduate transfers into the Patriot League play. I'm wondering if you are under the five-year rule, would they now say that we're going to now let you guys play?
Because right now, if you play in the Patriot League as a grad transfer, you're not allowed to play. You're not eligible to play even if you have eligibility left. So there's still a couple. Same with the Ivy Leagues also. So interesting though that they're going to go to the five and five model. Five years of eligibility within five years, and that's it. You can't be 27 years old playing college sports. I think that's actually a good thing.

Well just real quick, Boone also said a couple of things. One, obviously, you could tell he's fed up with the lollipop. I think he wasn't expecting it to be the story. He answered the first three questions on it. You could see it in his face. He's like, yeah, I didn't like it. Because someone said to him, was it more of like a practical thing about having the lollipop in his mouth, or was it more about the look? And he just went, sure.
He just answered it, sure. Also, Ryan McMahon was, again, because I mentioned during the Yankee, the Pinstripe preview, he had told Talking Yanks that Volpe would be out of the lineup today, and Caballero would be the shortstop.
And that's not the case. Volpe's in the lineup at short, Caballero playing third. Ryan McMahon is dealing with some sort of, first time I had a wave of fly away. Ryan McMahon is dealing with some sort of ear and throat infection, so he's sick. That's why he's out of the lineup today. No Ryan McMahon.

Meanwhile, the NBA draft is tonight in Brooklyn.
The New York Knicks do pick late in the first round. There's some thought who they might pick, but when you're defending champions and 90% of the court is coming back.

It does feel good, and I was thinking about that yesterday. You're watching the Celtics who have a little bit of an issue now, so they don't make the trade. Jalen Brown obviously is going to be, you would think, unhappy.

Yeah, but they got to stay together. They're too good not to.

**Chris McMonigle** (2:49)
I know. They're too good not to.

Again, if you could trade them for Giannis more or less straight up, I totally understand that.

I'm sure he's going to be pissed off.

Yeah, but look, you know what? You won a championship together, and I know Noelle Horne for no porcelain is anymore.

He was the MVP of the NBA finals, and he carried the team last year to the number two state without him.

No, Jalen Brown stays in Boston. Yeah, he stays there. He and Tane have to stay together. You know, you've got Peyton Pritchard, who's become a damn good player as well.

There's a guy that is available for the Boston Celtics, and if they get, well, let me just back it for a second. Right now, the odds have come out for next year's championship. The favorite to win next year's championship are the San Antonio Spurs. That makes no sense at all.
