All right.

One headlight.
McMonigle here with you on The Carton Show. Got you till 7 o'clock. We'll have Emmanuel Berbari, obviously of Yankee fame, postgame, call in the games. Doing an incredible job for the station and the Yankees. We'll have him leading into the game tonight. We can talk a little bit about the Mets before we get right back to the calls at 888-808-1019. A couple of things, one, and this is when we say about indifference, right? This is the worst place to be because Juan Soto has a calf strain. He's going to be out at least four weeks. He came out today and said he's 100% confident he's going to play again this year. And what does every Met fan have to say to that?
Who cares? Pretty much, maybe not who cares or I think most fans would just say, you know what? Forget it. Don't even mess with it. Don't come back.
That's the difference with being a frustrating team and being a fan base that's indifferent with your team. Yankees are pissed off, desperate to get judged back. Met fans are, make sure you're healthy for next year.
And then he's on the field, he can't even... When you're dunking something, when you're dunking a water bottle on somebody or a jug of water, don't have a cap to it. Don't have a lid. Don't use one of the coolers that has a lid attached to it, because I don't know if you've ever tried to dump a cooler, but the lid closes.
So they couldn't even get the celebration right. And then obviously this thing with the movie where apparently, if you saw the game, if you're watching, I guess they're making a movie called The Catch with Chris Pine and Emma Stone. And she was at the ballpark. Now, I remember I went to a Yankee Padre game a couple of years ago. I think it was a couple of years ago. Or maybe it was the Met Padre Playoff game. I was sitting in the SNY suite, by the way. Hello, SNY. I was sitting in the SNY suite for the game that Scherzer got lit up, the first game of the three-game wild card set. And I was sitting there with Lugui. And in the front row was Emma Stone decked out in Padre's gear. So I know, just because I was at that game, that she's a Padre's fan. So when they showed her on TV in Met gear, I was like, well, that's weird, because I'm positive she's a Padre fan. And it turns out, they're filming a movie called The Catching. I guess Chris Pine plays a Met player. And I guess it's also sort of fantasy, because I saw the hat and it has postseason on the side. So I don't know if it's like one of those fantasy movies or a...
**SPEAKER_3** (2:56)
Well, it could be Flashback from 2024, you douche.
**SPEAKER_1** (2:59)
I'm sorry.
**Chris McMonigle** (3:05)
The hat says postseason, so it's got to be some either futuristic or alternate...
**SPEAKER_1** (3:10)
It didn't say World Series.
**Chris McMonigle** (3:11)
Alternate uniform, alternate universe type kind of movie. But there was something where I guess, I don't think this is that big a deal, totally honest. I'm all for, as I'm just having fun with the Met fans now, I think the owner has made a ton of mistakes PR-wise with social media and all that. But I don't know if it's that big a deal. They went to a... Apparently, the story goes, they went to a season ticket holder and told him he was being honored or won some sort of upgrade with his seats. And if he wanted to give an upgrade for a certain... And it was a specific day, he had upgrades to the seats. And so I guess he accepted, expecting to get to some suite or expecting to get to some specialty seating. And in fact, they really just moved him over and maybe a little bit closer to the field. He was underwhelmed with the upgrade. But the upgrade wasn't because he was being singled out as a great fan or won a contest or a lottery. He was being asked to move because they had to film part of this movie and Emma Stone needed his seats. Do I think that's that big a deal? No, I don't. Do I think the guy was duped or lied to? He got a different seat for a game and they filmed a movie and forever he can say, Oh, those are my seats. She was taking my seats. I don't think he that that fan was was wronged in any significant way. But it's a story and anything that when you're this bad, you have this kind of disappointing season. Everything's going to stick and everything's going to be a story.
