All right, 257, McMonigle here with you on The Carton Show. Taking till 7 o'clock.

A couple of football things out there. One, the tragic story of what's gone on with the, with Biennemy, the offensive coordinator of Kansas City.
Apparently, his son has been arrested in regards to his wife being shot multiple times.
She's in stable condition, but it sounds like their son was arrested and is being charged in the shooting. Sounds like she's gonna be okay, at least in stable condition after multiple gunshot wounds. That's a horrible story and wish the best to her and the Biennemy family in that just incredibly difficult situation. Then we get to the Bills uniform, which I don't know if you've seen the uniform. I know Pete has. Have you seen these uniforms? I don't know the uproar. I gotta be honest with you. I've been a fan of the NFL for my whole life. And I would tell you that almost every vintage uniform that comes out is better than anything that has been introduced in the last 15 years or so. Every new uniform is ugly. I don't like any new uniforms, hardly any. I know though the Jets mix match and Woody loves tweeting out which ones are going to be worn the game of. And the Jets do have some nice uniforms. The Giants best uniforms are without question, the retro ones, the all white, the all blue.
Why are we in an uproar over the bills changing their uniform to look? I think they're hideous. The players in them look like refrigerators. Like it's just this very bland, concrete floor colored jersey that is no doubt just a terrible jersey. But why all of a sudden does it seem like the bills are held to some standard? Right? They get a new ballpark, everybody's pissed about that. Right? Nobody cares. Less people seem pissed off about the Bears moving out of Chicago. Less people seem more about Arrowhead saying goodbye. But for some reason the bills are held to the standard where it's an embarrassment that's a new building and it's an embarrassment that they have these new hideous uniforms. Everybody has hideous uniforms.
Like I get it. They're bad. They're really bad. They look like CFL uniforms. But why is this like a talking point? Like the bills are embarrassing themselves. Everyone comes out with these crappy new uniforms.
But it is it's quite the story out there about what's going on with the bills.
**SPEAKER_3** (2:51)
Well, it's twofold. First of all, like there's not even a logo. I know there's a little tiny bills logo on the left side of the jersey. But on the helmet, it's just a red line. It's like they forgot to do something. It's like when Citi Field came, which was created. And they had to put the Mets logo anywhere but the garbage cans.
**SPEAKER_4** (3:09)
I mean, come on.
**SPEAKER_3** (3:11)
But here's the other thing, too, it's like if the bills are, I don't want to say they are a top tier franchise in the NFL, but they kind of have been playing like that the last few years.
**Chris McMonigle** (3:20)
No, they got the quarterback, so they have a winning franchise.
**SPEAKER_3** (3:23)
Yes.
**Chris McMonigle** (3:23)
Right.
**SPEAKER_3** (3:23)
Like why are you doing this? Like you don't see the Chiefs going out and here's our New Jersey. You don't see the...
**Chris McMonigle** (3:31)
But why? Yeah, I mean, I guess.
**SPEAKER_3** (3:34)
I don't know why they went and did this. This was unnecessary. I know you have a new stadium.
**Chris McMonigle** (3:38)
It's all unnecessary.
**SPEAKER_3** (3:40)
Like why do you put a broken table in the new arena? Like unnecessary.
**Chris McMonigle** (3:46)
Yeah, people seem very mad about this. I don't know why. It's an ugly uniform. Welcome to the NFL.
Every other uniform that comes out looks worse than the last.
**SPEAKER_3** (3:55)
You want to know why? Because the fans are bragging about it. Like I showed my eight year old to the Buffalo Bills fan. He's like, oh, that's fire. No, they're hideous. I go, dude, yeah, I would not buy that for you.
**Chris McMonigle** (4:06)
No, they're really an ugly colored gray. I don't know why they're doing it. It's hideous. But I don't know why it's such a talking point. And then the other thing, I have to give them credit. Now, they claim they did it last year.
But what happened with Vrabel at the opening press conference for the Patriots, I thought was brilliant. Because obviously, he's going to step in to a press conference that is still, despite it being months ago, it was the biggest off-season story. And whenever he's going to speak, he's going to be asked about Diana Rossini and everything going on and what's going on with his life and non-football questions that he doesn't want to answer. So Vrabel comes to the initial press conference of training camp with a puppy and working with some, you know, pound that is helping people donate pets, you know, adopt pets. And it's this cute little dog in his hand and he walks up to the podium and he's petting it. He looks like a Bond villain, but he's petting. He's like, oh, look at this little doggy. And if anyone could help him find a home and like he completely disarmed the entire media. Who is going to press him on anything tough after he's out here trying to save dogs? It was a brilliant move. Like we know obviously we'll get to at some point if you care about what's going on in North Carolina right now. But Bill Belichick was the complete antithesis of this. Not that he ever had anything quite this juicy, I suppose, while he was the Patriots' coach, although he did have, you know, there was a tight end.
