Sorry, Powerbomb Plus, we love you. But the Mets are making noise in Queens?

**Chris McMonigle** (0:06)
Oh, they're making noise. It's a lot of grunting.

**Craig Carton** (0:08)
Do you ever tell what the noise sounds like?

**Chris McMonigle** (0:13)
You went really high brow there.

**Craig Carton** (0:14)
Yeah, I sure did, didn't I? Like, we gotta, we gotta, whoever, that promo has to stop running.

**Chris McMonigle** (0:19)
Yeah.

**Craig Carton** (0:20)
Pete, tell all the powers of beast, stop running that promo.

**Chris McMonigle** (0:23)
Yeah.

**Craig Carton** (0:23)
The Mets are making noise this summer. No, they're not. No. There's 70 games under 500 that got swept by a team that landed in LaGuardia a minute before first pitch the other night.
It's true.

**Chris McMonigle** (0:39)
And as Lindor made that error, it really just dawns on you. This, it feels like so much of the season is whether it's because he got injured, the him and Soto's relationship, it just feels like so much of this downfall, and particularly this year, is like at the feet of Lindor. It's probably unfair because he was injured for a lot of it, but he breaks his hand-made bone at the start of the year, so he doesn't even have a spring training. Then he comes, he's here for I don't know how long, he has the calf injury that takes him all this time, he's come back, he's been picked off on the bases, he's made bad defensive plays, that error kills them in a game they had to win, a game that they had a chance to win. So it's just so much of this season comes down to breaking up the core, and he's the one guy of the core that's left. And this season's been an out and out debacle, and he's kind of the face of it, despite not being around for a lot.

**Craig Carton** (1:29)
Yeah, the other big debacle from late last week, I'm not sure if you dealt with it. If you did, I'll keep it short to the point, is this whole Bryce Harper situation with the Fandle, I guess it is, where there was a guy that lost a million five gambling, and somebody went to Cameo and had Bryce Harper record a personalized video because the guy was a Phillies fan, and Bryce Harper did come out eventually, I think it may have been yesterday, because he had not said a word about it, and came out and said, look, some random person paid the 90 bucks or 100 bucks, we'll get to that part of it in a second, and asked me to do a video. So I did the video. I had no idea that the person was connected to a sports book. I had no idea that the person receiving the video was a problem gambler. How would I possibly know any of that?
And he goes, I'm not saying anything else about it. And that's fine. You could all have your opinions about it. Obviously, it doesn't seem like something that the site should be doing. If you know a guy has a gambling problem and lost that kind of money. But there's a different side to that story that no one else is talking about. Just real quick.
How much money has Bryce Harper made in his career?

**Chris McMonigle** (2:42)
A lot. I mean, he signed-

**Craig Carton** (2:43)
Without endorsements.

**Chris McMonigle** (2:45)
Without endorsements, he signed, what was it, around $300 million 12-year contract, something like that. So he's made at least, you know, at least $300 million.

**Craig Carton** (2:52)
You say he's made half a billion dollars in his lifetime?

**Chris McMonigle** (2:55)
With endorsements, yes.

**Craig Carton** (2:56)
Let's say all in.

**Chris McMonigle** (2:57)
All in, yes.

**Craig Carton** (2:57)
With endorsements. I think that's probably a fair guess in it, right?

**Chris McMonigle** (3:00)
It's close to there, yes.

**Craig Carton** (3:01)
And that's why the greed of certain athletes never fails to amaze me.
You have made over half a billion dollars in your lifetime. Money ain't an issue.

**Chris McMonigle** (3:14)
No, it shouldn't be.

**Craig Carton** (3:15)
You probably have multiple homes, and good for you. Probably have your own jet, helicopters, wherever it might be. And out of a grudge at it all, you've got a skill very few people on the planet have.

**Chris McMonigle** (3:26)
Absolutely.

**Craig Carton** (3:26)
Right? But do you need another $90?

**Chris McMonigle** (3:29)
Is that really what it was?

**Craig Carton** (3:30)
It was either $90 or $100, yeah. Like is that really what, like you're, oh my God, honey, I can't afford to buy a dozen eggs for breakfast. I'm going to go on Cameo and start selling videos. Well, how much? Like 10 grand a pop? No, that's a hundred sound. Like you need that much money after making half a billion dollars?
