We got lots cooking today. A lot of the Knicks players are making their rounds yet again.
We have the voice of the New York Knicks joining us at 3.3 today. That will be Mike Breen. And then later today in the 5 o'clock hour, for the third time this calendar year, the greatest owner in New York today, the champion, the guy that gave the speech that took the Knicks from a disappointing regular season to the greatest offseason of all time, Mr. James Anthony Aloysius Dolan joins us again live in studio. Gonna be a great day. Knicks, we got some baseball coming your way as well. And good afternoon, Big Mac. How are you today?

I couldn't be better. It's like, look.

It's beautiful driving in or taking the train, whatever you're doing, walking the streets. It's fantastic. We got the biggest party in the city's history coming up tomorrow. This is, it doesn't get better.

**Craig Carton** (1:25)
Tomorrow is New Year's Eve, basically, right? Tomorrow because Friday's going to be a drop off. Friday's going to be, hey, what a great party yesterday.

**Chris McMonigle** (1:34)
And then what?

Now, thankfully we have the New York Yankees playing great baseball. Big blowout win yesterday against the White Sox, first place team in the Central. But the Yankees can't beat a first place team. They did, they blew them out. Garrett Cole went six innings yesterday.

**Chris McMonigle** (1:48)
What is he?

**Craig Carton** (1:49)
Two and one now, I think, is his record. But who cares about his record? They got pitched very well after that solo shot to start it off.
Yep, so we'll get to the Yankees.

And they beat a pitcher in Martin, who had the second best ERA in all of the American League behind only Kam Schlitler.

Obviously the Mets not so good yet again. They're becoming a relevant story very quickly. But I do think that it's still the Knicks. I still think, give you an opportunity to express your feelings about the championship, the father-son relationship, the mother-daughter, the whatever it might be, your experience, how much it means to you. And I was thinking about this this morning actually.
And I was thinking about parades this morning, okay? And obviously there's a fear among some people, what's New York going to be like? And as you probably have, I've been asked to go on other shows, national shows and TV and radio and whatnot. And I keep telling everybody the same thing.
Nothing bad is going to happen tomorrow for a lot of reasons. Number one, it's 10 o'clock in the morning.
Crime doesn't happen at 10 o'clock in the morning the way it happens when you're drunk at midnight in New York City. And the hooligans that burned down the bus and ruined that poor guy's taxi cab and got into some fights on the street, most of them are sleeping at 10 o'clock in the morning. Now look, I know the bars are open, in part because the World Cup is happening, in part because bars are open, because that's how you make a living. And yes, there are going to be a lot of people drinking, there's going to be a lot of vaping, a lot of edibles and pens and this and that. But I'm telling you, I will be shocked if the story on Friday is New York City couldn't handle a parade and it became East St. Louis. I would be shocked if the story Friday morning is, what happened? Did Karen Basswood become mayor of New York City and the city is on fire?
I think tomorrow is going to be remembered as one of the most fun, without incident parades and moments that we have ever experienced in New York City.

Yeah, I mean, I think you're right. I'd be surprised if we were not, it's not the same thing that night of the championship. We've seen that in multiple tune of cities. And sure, we saw an element of it here in New York City after the championship. But the parade is different. You're right. The parade is in the middle of the morning, the parade is about celebrating. The parade is going to be there, the players are going to be there. Who knows who else is going to be there.
