Three-time pro bowler already, Jameer Gibbs has inked a deal with the Lions, three years, 67.5 million. Could be worth up to 75.75 million, includes a $51.5 million guarantee. So this comes a few days after Bajan Robinson turned into the highest paid running back of all time. Now that is Jameer Gibbs. They were both hold ins and it was going to go like whichever running back got the money first. You knew that the other guy was going to up. That's that's the way it works. It's an ego game.
And both guys, you know, in this day and age, they deserve it because they're they're more than running backs. And you've seen that with Robinson in the past. You've seen it with Gibbs, but also he had a split time with Montgomery. They lose him to the Texans this year. But Gibbs is also like an elite catcher of the ball out of the backfield. So I could not be higher on a single player this year than I am on Jameer Gibbs. It's unfortunate that his numbers are that's baked in because of the schedule and the offense. If you missed this earlier, by the way, Sal Palantoni on the program and the one team that he said that he is absolutely bullish on this year, it's Detroit. Right there with them.

But you also had Taylor with the $44 million extension earlier today. Gibbs says I haven't played my best ball yet and I could have done more. This is also huge for fantasy football. He's expected to go number one in most leagues. Now you don't have to worry about that because even though he was a hold in, the contract situation is taken care of and all that money guaranteed. Other than the schedule, why else are you higher? You get the new offensive coordinator coming in from Arizona. I do not like the Pacheco move. I think he's cooked. But again, I guess just give me a larger dose of Gibbs then.
As you pointed out, they lost Montgomery.
How about Dan Campbell, 25 to 1 coach of the year?

I could get on board with that. It's a very difficult market to bet in my opinion.
But I do like the guy. He does get a little wonky during some of the games in big spots, but I think he's in a great job here. That'll continue this year. And they've also been really banged up over the years. But when Aiden Hutchinson is healthy, you have one of the best defensive players in the entire league as well. I'm not really bothered by the thing that happened to Terry and Arnold on the field because he was kind of a negative player anyway. But when you look over at the schedule, look at how, I mean, where they're playing these teams also should matter. Like they get the Saints in week one. They're at Buffalo. So they play in upstate New York. Obviously, right away, the weather is going to be perfect at Carolina in October.

That could be some fireworks as well. Look at how, I mean, again, the road games at Miami in November, they're at Atlanta, Dome, at Minnesota, Dome. They do close the final two weeks of the season at Chicago and at Green Bay. So obviously, those are going to be outdoor. But other than that, I mean, it's a last place schedule. And this has now turned into a thing. The last couple of years, when these teams have that easy of a schedule and nothing is going to be as easy as New England last year, but look at how they took advantage of it. That has to be factored in.
