ICE is preparing a major Haitian deportation push as temporary protected status expires for hundreds of thousands. Anthony Fauci's private diary has been released, and it shows the so-called top doctor was obsessed with his own exploding fame during the pandemic. Recess is vanishing from American schools, and parents across the country are fighting to bring it back.

ICE is getting ready to send Haitians home as their legal protections finally expire. Immigration agents are preparing to ramp up arrests and deportations of Haitian migrants as early as this week. Roughly 350,000 Haitians are set to lose their legal protections under the Temporary Protected Status Program after a Supreme Court ruling last month cleared the way for the Trump administration to end it. The same ruling ends protections for Syrians. These plans, first reported by CBS, include targeted arrests in Ohio communities like Springfield, places where large Haitian populations have settled for years. The operation is designed to move quickly, get people on deportation flights back to Haiti. That is a country the State Department explicitly warns Americans not to visit because of rampant gang violence and instability. Border Czar Tom Homan has defended the stepped up enforcement the only way a serious immigration official should. The protections were always meant to be temporary. They were never supposed to become a permanent backdoor amnesty. The Department of Homeland Security has not confirmed every operational detail, but it issued a clear statement. People who are losing status can leave the country voluntarily. The US is even offering financial help to do so.
What we would say now is it's closing time, which means you don't have to go home, but you can't stay here, the department said.
The good news is it's not too late to get a $2,600 check and a free flight home.
This is happening at the same time the Trump administration is ramping up a separate accountability effort, stripping naturalized Americans of their citizenship when fraud or serious misconduct is proven. The plan is to file at least 250 denaturalization cases by October. This is what enforcement looks like when you stop treating temporary programs as permanent entitlements. President Trump promised to end the TPS scam. The Supreme Court backed him. Now ICE is doing the job.

Republican Senator Rand Paul of Kentucky released a trove of diary entries and notes kept by then-NIAID Director Anthony Fauci over the weekend. The documents covered December 2019 through December 2022, the years the COVID pandemic upended American life. What they reveal is not a humble public servant. They reveal a manipulative, duplicitous figure who was, above all, obsessed with his own exploding fame while the media treated him like a saint. Very early in the pandemic in April 2020, as the government was already blaming more than 60,000 fatalities on COVID-19, Fauci was taking careful note of his rising media profile. One April 7th entry read, Press still hot and heavy about me. Multiple stories per day, directly or indirectly involving me.
Six weeks later, he was luxuriating in it.
Big front page article about me appeared in the Washington Post, very flattering. The situation with my national and international fame is explosive and really unimaginable. It is not hyperbole to say that today, I am the most famous and talked about person in the country. By that point, the reported death toll was approaching 100,000.
Fauci also reveled in the power. He boasted privately about how his decisions were crashing the US stock market. He marveled that New York and California shut down schools because of his say-so.
The diary entries show something even more serious. He was not telling the public what he actually believed. His personal notes indicated he thought the mortality rate for COVID-19 was far lower than what he was saying on television. And the documents suggest he was not entirely forthcoming about the possibility that the virus came from a lab leak in Wuhan. Publicly, he pushed the wet market or natural animal crossover theory. Privately, the assessment among scientists was different. What he wrote privately and what he told the country are two different stories, Rand Paul posted on X when he announced the document dump. Fauci is now under subpoena to testify under oath on Capitol Hill this Wednesday. After years of media worship and institutional protection, the man who helped shut down the country is finally going to have to answer questions under penalty of perjury. About time.
