Ladies and gentlemen, welcome back to the Journal of My Life that covers all things anime, comics, movies, and games. This is a special ACMG Presents TalkTime Live, The Prime Show. I am your host, Xavier Josiah. This is a big show for us today. This is actually, honestly, this is 201, I believe, today.
And I thought this was going to fall into the 500 episode, but it didn't. And I wish it did because it would have been even more special. But here nor there, this episode is so big, I couldn't do it alone. This episode required a Marvel team up level type of job. So in order for us to review Spider-Man Brand New Day, I couldn't do it with any button better than the guy behind A Plus Productions, who also covers A Plus Sports, A Plus Wrestling, all things A Plus, whatever it is, it's A Plus. And that is my good man, Boris Roberto Aguilar. And we're here. Whenever there's a Marvel movie, a major Marvel movie coming out, I got to call them in because I can't do this alone. So let's welcome Boris back to TALK TIME LIVE. Boris, what's going on?

Not much, my friend. Not much, my friend. I am surprised. Here we are. Two people of color talking Marvel Cinematic Universe. If we were part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, we would be canceled by now.

**Xavier Josiah** (2:29)
I don't know. We'll talk about, we'll absolutely talk about that before we even get to the review. We'd be remiss not to talk about that.

Exactly.

I got my thoughts on it. I mean, yeah, overall it sucks, but I think it may be a little bit overblown.

**Boris Roberto Aguilar** (2:43)
The optics are not cool, but it makes sense.

**Xavier Josiah** (2:47)
The recent optics, it's like the happenstance that is happening that people do. But when you stop to look at everything that has happened, it may not be as much as people think.

**Boris Roberto Aguilar** (2:59)
Exactly.

We're going to talk about the recent news before we get into that. Work on this real quick and then jump right in. This whole episode will be dedicated to the review of Brand New Day. But this news just popped up because it's another surprising type of situation. But again, when you really think about it, it's not so surprising because this is not the first time this studio has done something like this and also redeemed himself from it as well. So Boris, do you want to talk about that? You start you off, you could go off and talk about the recent news.

Right. We've been getting more and more news about the Marvel Cinematic Universe and Marvel in general in terms of what the future holds, right? Before San Diego Comic Con, Kevin Feige essentially said, Hey, we've got plans until 2040 something, right? And I just love the fact that Mel Brooks made that into a whole bit.
Anyways, but with that said, they were obviously taking a look at things. They were looking at the metrics. They were listening to the powers that be. And unfortunately, there are projects that were lined up that have been canceled. There were projects that we thought were going to happen that are going to probably be moved.
