Everyone's favorite paranormal podcast host has a bizarre, life-threatening, possibly life-threatening weekend with a group of kittens.
And then we talk about some movies I watched. Today on Dead Rabbit Radio.
Okay, so, this is your first episode of Dead Rabbit Radio. This will be nothing like any of the other ones. I didn't have time to do a full-fledged episode this week. There's a whole bunch of reasons. I think I have a cat disease. So, if you talk about excuses, you know, I think I can get a pass for an episode or two. I think I have a cat disease. Let me tell you how she shut off the podcast. You're like, no, I don't know. I don't care. It's kind of interesting. But best of luck to you. Know what happened? Let me tell you.
So last week, quick review.
My friend Sabine found three kittens in her garage. And they weren't making no noises and stuff. They would open their mouth up, but they wouldn't make no noises. And we're like, oh, dude, these kittens might be like brand new. They might be like a day or two old. We didn't know who the mom was. And, you know, Sabine, I would do the same thing. I might have a different opinion now, but Sabine goes, well, we got to take care of these little guys, like at least three adorable kittens. And you have Annie, I named that one. The name is Annihilator, but Annie for short. And then Harriet is this orange guy. And then there's a little half black, half orange one called Princess. I didn't name those two. But anyways, we brought them in. And she's like, going on a huge trip this weekend. And we had planned this a long time in advance because there's so many stray cats in the area that kind of come by here for food and stuff like that. And because I like doing house sitting stuff, I was like, hey, while you're gone for five, six days, however long it is, I'll stay at your place. I'll make sure that the local cats are fed. And, you know, I'll do some fun stuff. I'll even record some episodes because her house, as we've talked about before on the show, is haunted. I was going to do an episode from here or actually three episodes. And then so that was all day one. I was like, oh, yeah, no kittens. That's totally fine. Then then I showed up the next day at Sabine's house to go look at the kittens. And she's like, because listen, I don't know nothing about cats. One thing you're going to realize very quickly, I don't know nothing about cats. She's over there. I come over and she's like, yo, we got to feed them with the syringe. I go, what? She goes, yeah, these kittens are so young, they're not eating solid food. So every couple of hours, you got to give them goat milk.
And then she pulls out this no-needle on the syringe. I was like, goat milk directly in your veins, Annie. No, it's like a syringe with no needle and you stick it in their mouth. And, you know, Harriet was gobbling it up. He's like, oh, yummy, yummy. This is delicious. Princess would kind of drink it, but little Annie was like, nope, uh-uh. It would take you like 20 minutes just for him to start eating. And then once he finally did, oh, he would gobble it up. And I was like, okay, good. At least he learned now that it's delicious. Well, then, however, long later, Sabine goes, time to feed the kittens again. And Annie still wouldn't eat. It's 20 minutes just turning his head and scratching you and clawing at you. And then finally he would go, yummy. He would eat as much as he could, but he'd always put up this huge fight. She'd actually put him down, get another kitten, eat that one, pick up Annie again, still didn't want any food. That's when I realized my weekend was going to be way less fun than I thought it was going to be. I thought I was just going to roll around on the ground with some cats.
