302, great to have you here. Zach Gelb sitting in for the big fella today. I'm not sure tomorrow's deal with us on the air. I'm pretty sure we'll be on after the early game, the 135 game, and then we'll figure it out for that point on. But you have a split doubleheader tomorrow. If you were going to tonight's Yankee game, tonight's game is canceled. And let me just say this, because a lot of times, Zach, when a team waits too long to cancel a game, rightfully so, we all get ticked off.
So going backwards, starting with today, I applaud the Yankees.

The Yankees canceled today's game right around 2 o'clock this afternoon. That gives everybody plenty of time to readjust the schedule and not start the process of going to Yankee Stadium.

It's another thing, and I say this as a proud, or somewhat proud Mets fan, it's another thing the Yankees do better than Mets, because a few weeks ago, I'm on that 637 train, LIRR, door closes, 639, announcement, the Mets-Cubs game rained out when everyone knew it was going to get rained out, but they didn't.

And yet, if you have the ticket, you're like, I got to get on the train, because what if they don't rain it out? I don't want to waste my money, and I do want to go see them play. So I give the Yankees credit, and especially because we now know it was a bobblehead day today, and they're well aware of the popularity, so it's just an hour-and-judge bobblehead, so they don't want to screw people over. So let me just say this, we always attack a team when they don't do it the right way, because it ticks us off and it puts us out, whether it's parking, or I know you don't have kids yet, babysitters, plans, getting permission to leave work early, whatever it might be, when a team waits till the last second, that sucks, I'll never forget. I guess it's a year and a half ago now, Lionel Richie was going to play Madison Square Garden. I'm a big Lionel Richie fan. So I buy tickets, me, my wife and my kids, we're going to see Lionel Richie at Madison Square Garden.

There you go. So there is a little weather front that's coming in. And that's the thing, we all know when weather's coming in. You can't avoid it, right? You know if there's a storm coming. Like today, the Yankees know there's no period of time tonight to go without inclement weather. So let's do right by our fans and cancel the game early. I give the Yankees credit. Like, you shouldn't have to give them credit. But so many other places f it up, I give them credit when they get it right. So now going back a year and a half ago, my guy, Mr. Commodore himself, dancing on the ceiling, man. Lionel Richie's in Boston.
He's gonna take a helicopter up here or some other type of air travel. I guess he's gonna take a jet to Teterboro, I suppose. But I'm pretty sure he was helicoptering in.
But the weather didn't allow it. So I parked my car for 50 bucks in Manhattan, all right?

And I tell my kids, why don't you guys go ahead with my wife. I'll park the car, I'll run up, I'll meet you guys in the building, right? That's a lot of dads do that, okay?
So the concert's supposed to start at 8 o'clock. I know that they might, so he probably goes on at 9 o'clock. But the concert starts at 8 o'clock. I forget who's opening. It's kind of irrelevant, right? Maybe Earth, Wind & Fire, Kool & The Gang or something like that, right? So all good. I have literally, Zach, I'm 30 seconds after getting the ticket for my car.
I've now started the walk back up the ramp from the garage to the street, okay? I get a phone call from my daughter. Yeah, concert's canceled. I go, no, concert's not canceled. And now it's 8.30. Like we're missing the opening act, but the concert starts at 8 o'clock. At 8.45, after the concert's supposed to have started, he cancels it after the fact because he didn't want to leave Boston in time to get to New York. Now I can't make it on the rain out or the rescheduled date because I have other stuff going on. People fly into New York, hotels, restaurants. They can't come back. Anniversaries ruin, birthdays ruin, all because that selfish son of a bitch, Lionel Richie, who's now dead to me, by the way.
