I think with your 100% safe driving down in Georgia as a New Yorker, yes, he, I wouldn't say Wemby's been exposed. That's probably going a little too far. He's an elite defender at this stage of his career at 22 He will become a much better offensive player. He's already pretty damn good on offense as well. But he made one terrible mistake late, just a mental fart that he had when he tried to pass the ball to Castle and he missed an open shot. He's going to miss more open shots in his career because everybody does.

I know, but it feels like it doesn't get there enough. I don't know. I watched that game. I don't feel like, wow, he's going to get that ball down low and there's no stopping I feel more about that when he's about 15 feet and further out from the goal.

They're focused on one guy for two weeks, right? And they happen to be an elite defensive team with grown men playing defense. Whether that's OG, whether that's Hart.
Josh Hart right now, by the way, has as many rebounds in this series as Wemby does.
Josh Hart, 6'4. He gives him a foot. He has as many rebounds, I think they both have 21 rebounds, in the first two games of the series. So he's going up against grown men, every single night. And I know they're going to use the excuse, well, he played in a seven-game series and he was tired. And you know, emotionally after beating the Thunder. Dude, the clock never stops, man. You got to get your ass ready for the next game. And he decided to get ready for game three by painting in the park. That's the guy that's given up.
That's the guy that knows it's over. It's a wrap. Let me enjoy a beautiful Sunday afternoon in New York City with my sister and a bodyguard by painting a statue. And that's what he was doing. You know, like not a care in the world. And that's the difference between him and the Knicks. I guarantee you that Jalen Brunson was not painting in a park in Westchester.

I agree. I do think there's an element of sometimes you just need to get away from it for a minute just to clear your head. He could be in that headspace where it was probably just a good idea to get out with the family.
