Craig Carton EXPOSES Adam Schefter & Robert Kraft’s NFL Gambling Conflict: “How Is This Allowed?”

No, no, no, no, no, no, no, yeah. Carton Show, Big Mac. A lot of people are making a big deal in the last couple of days, Big Mac, that Adam Schefter of ESPN apparently co-owns a gambling company with Robert Kraft of the New England Patriots.

Uh-huh. And how is that allowed?
Right?

How do you report on a team that you're a business partner with? Yeah, and the reason I bring it up is, remember when the Racini stuff was happening?

There was a report that some unknown people tried to get the report squashed before the New York Post ran with the pictures they had. Well, wouldn't it make sense now that, and also didn't want ESPN to cover the story?

Which they really didn't cover?

Not much. The local that cover every other scandalous story in the NFL? Well, is it crazy to assume that, I don't know, this is a possibility that Robert Kraft picks up the phone and calls his business partner, Adam Schefter, and says, hey Adam, make sure this story gets squashed?
Not by saying that did happen, but isn't there a possibility that could happen? Or do you want better?

He just re-signed with the ESPN. And look, he's great at what he does. It's not a knock on Adam Schefter as an NFL insider, but if you're gonna be an NFL insider, at the end of the day, other than the sexual part of it, is there that much of a difference between what Adam Schefter's doing and what Diana Rossini was doing?
Like your business partners with a guy you report on, and a guy that owns a team that you report on, you don't think that guy's gonna feel, now that we have this relationship, financial relationship, that if there's a story out there involving my team, that I'm not gonna pick that phone up and say, hey Adam, do me a solid, let that one go. And we've already seen with Adam Schefter, what he did with the Washington Redskins back in the day, when he sent the report he was going to release to whether it was Daniel Snyder or another executive there, saying hey, why don't you fact check this for me? Make sure I don't put anything in there you don't want in there. So he's already shown a proclivity to do those kinds of deals. Well now, you're financially tied to one of the 32 owners in the NFL personally. I would pick up the phone, like if you and I, if I owned a gambling company.

Like if you and I were business partners, you put money in, I've got money in. We now are united, right, on a different level.
You don't think one of us is going to pick up the phone to call the other one, Hey, this room would hurt me if you report that. What are you going to do?

I'd like to think that going into this they have an understanding, and that he wouldn't put that quote in.

It just seems, and especially because this one's a gambling company.

Yeah, and the outrage of the Racini thing, the relationship between, we've seen it before, like people had a problem with the party that Glazer throws. And like all the different relationships that the people whose job it is to cover, the athletes and the athletes and or organizations themselves. It is, it's, the other one was just more scandalous because sex was involved, but apparently money isn't that scandalous right now, because we don't seem to have a problem.

And by the way, why does the NFL allow one of its 32 majority owners to own a company that produces sports and casino gambling apps? Right? I'm saying that, like, you can't have it both ways. You can't tell me we're not having the supplemental draft for Brendan Soarsby because of gambling, but it's okay for Robert Kraft to own a gambling company. Oh, and not just that, partner in that company with the most high profile voice that ESPN has talking about the NFL on its platforms.
