Carson Schlesinger, linebacker for the Browns, defensive rookie of the year. And I can tell you this, it paid for a lot of mistakes that I made in the futures market last season. He is Bobby Stanley. Let's do a little victory dance because we never really did one on the show.
You gave out Schlesinger last year. Just talk to me about what you saw in that moment, why that bet made sense, because that was a guy on a bad football team kind of off the radar, and we cashed it at what price?

**Bobby Stanley** (1:31)
I think I gave it out this time last year at 40 to one. What went into it? I mean, it's primarily a past rushers award, but this guy was on a bad team, which set him up in that defense behind that front seven to be racking up tackles, playing behind Miles Garrett and the rest of that front four, was able to make some splash plays. He was a second round pick, probably should have went in the first, if we're being honest with each other.
And there was a bit of a benchmark there. There was Patrick Willis, there was Luke Keakley, there was, I think, Shaq Leonard. So there were guys that got this done, but at the price we were seeing, I thought there was value there, and it turns out there was, and I'm here for my victory lap, so thank you so much, sir.

I love it. Well, how do you back it up this year? Because you look at Defensive Rookie of the Year, it is a market where it does appear, like you said, you could take some shots if you're willing to be a little bit risky, a little frisky here. And as I open up the Defensive Rookie of the Year board, Ruben Bayne Jr., who I love, is short of five to one. He's plus 475 David Bailey, who I don't think is ready for primetime just yet, is five to one. Then you have Sonny Stiles, seven and a half to one with his former teammate at Ohio State Caleb Downs. And it gets a lot longer from there. When you're analyzing Defensive Rookie of the Year, where do you see the most value on the board?

**Bobby Stanley** (2:49)
If I'm going with most value, I'm going further down that line. But you pointed out there's some gems this year, some real top tier blue chip talent that might have not been in last year's draft. But I'm looking at Cassius Howell, Cincinnati Bengals. I got 50 to one on this price. First round talent, SEC Defensive Player of the Year, not bad to have on your resume.
He's gonna be sitting behind Dexter Lawrence on that Bengals defensive line. So there'll be some double teams that he can kind of fit through.
And like we said, past rushers won this award three of the last five years. So he does have that positional scarcity there, but he's gonna have a lot of guys to beat out that last year, they were situational guys. This year, I think Arville Reese is gonna play the full snaps. David Bailey, Ruben Bain, Caleb Downs. These guys are gonna be starters from week one. So it's a little bit harder to find the gem here, but I think Howell has a shot at an injury to Samar Stewart. He's not gonna need surgery. Hyper extended his knee, but he's gonna miss some time. There was a play going around Twitter this week where he knocked Orlando Brown on his butt with a bull rush. So if Cassius Howell can get in the starting lineup week one, and they're playing, and it kind of plays into that Swessinger thing where the defense matters, with the offense playing from behind, the Bengals are gonna put up points this year. I firmly believe that. So now he's playing with the lead, he can pin his ears back. If Howell can get to that 10 to 14 sack range, I think 50 to one is a steal of a price.
