Football, you can smell it coming right around the corner. It'll be here before you know it. We'll have our routine of Mondays, Thursdays, Saturdays, Sundays, occasional Fridays, Tuesdays with the maxion. It just takes over our lives. And one of my favorite guys to consume when it comes to talking football on an intellectual level is our next guest, because God knows I am not one of those guys who is at his level. I know it's football season, because I see you in that smiling face in a gorgeous Tulane green wave jersey in the background. How are you feeling, my friend?

I'm feeling good. I'm just glad you're calling me an intellectual. You know, I got 59 up here because I'm a linebacker. I'm glad I just have a couple of brain cells. You know, hopefully we can share some cool data with you today.

You've proven in your post life that you are an intellectual.
Let's do something on Tulane real quick, because you and I both have an affinity for Will Hall, who got a total raw deal when he went to Southern Miss. I got to tell you, with the quarterback he has there at Tulane this year, just reading up on them this season in a wide open American, where I'm going to make a case for Memphis later on in the show, there's no reason that Will Hall and Tulane can't be super competitive this year and challenge some of the big dogs.

**Sam Bruchhaus** (1:45)
It'll be really interesting to see. You know, we got quarterbacks in the chamber, one coming from Houston, one coming from the Mac, where Keynes-Mozal was the freshman of the year in the Mac with a Ball State team that unfortunately didn't win a lot of games, was ultimately beat out last year for the job. But you know, when it comes to college football, I feel like I sometimes can bring some insider insights. Will Hall coached me, obviously, so I got the chance to speak to him this year. And they have a plan to succeed. Their plan to succeed is to develop the guys in the middle, the offensive linemen, defensive linemen over the years, and to bring in transfers up at those core positions. They think that is the way that they're going to succeed. And moreover, Tulane has the funds to do it. So it's going to be really exciting. I think that there's going to be a lot of surprises on that Tulane team, whether it's at the wide receiver position, DB position, guys who ultimately may become draft available.
I think that is going to be the recipe for success, but that team is going to be playing together. That's going to be the absolute key under Will Hall. And I think when you have consistency, and despite the multiple head coaching changes, it's been a similar system going back to the Fritz days where Will Hall was the offensive coordinator. They have a level of consistency and program building that you rarely see across three different head coaches.

Yeah, I kind of like them over seven and a half wins. It's plus money. If I could find a six and a half at a palatable price, I love that even more. But I'm a big Will Hall guy, I think he's going to show what he can do. Now, the reason I want to have you on is the NFL stuff right now. We'll do college football maybe another time before the season starts.
Your info on the NFL is so next level. And you're pointing out a team in the NFC that I want to talk about here, because if you look at the track record of the Eagles under Nick Sirianni, one, there really are no down years. We usually have a bad taste in our mouth because things don't go to expectation, but he always rebounds from what would be a quote unquote down year for him with a monster performance, winding up in a Super Bowl. How do you feel about the Eagles with the new offensive coordinator in Sean Manion, AJ Brown gone, Dontavian Wicks, McKay Lemon in? What are your expectations for Philly?
