It's The Carton Show with Big Mac on a gorgeous Tuesday afternoon in New York City. The Yankee game, according to Susan Waldman, has been postponed today.
So we get, I think, a little day-night double-headed tomorrow. Is that right? I'm pretty sure that's the answer there. So those of you that had plans to go see the Yankees win their third consecutive game tonight, and maybe there's some more fisticuffs out there. At the stadium, that is not the case. You have to play two tomorrow, meaning you could all come to Gotham Comedy Club tonight at 7 o'clock if you want, and watch me do a live taping of my podcast with Lil Wayne, but that's another story for another day.
So yesterday, Willie Colona sat in, and because I believe in helping other people out and giving people an opportunity, and 19 other people said they weren't available. That's what I figured. I was like, hey, Zach Gelb, why don't you swing on by and say hi, and happy to have you here. Zach, of course, grew up in this radio, at this radio station. His dad's a long time producer for Mike and Chris and Pete Franklin before that, and now one of our top sales guys. Zach has been over at CBS Sports Radio for a long time. You've heard him filling in here for a number of years now.

Was on last night.

**Craig Carton** (1:14)
On last night, double duty. We're not paying him to be here, but he's kind enough to join us. So good afternoon, Zach, how are you, buddy?

**Zach Gelb** (1:21)
Yeah, thanks for having me, and I think you just got a big guy fetish. That's what it is.

**Craig Carton** (1:25)
I do, but that's why I said that yesterday. I need to, it's the old Thornton Mellon school. If you want to look thin, hang around fat people.
Now you're not fat, you're just big boned.

**Zach Gelb** (1:34)
Well, it makes me feel better with Mack and Willie. I look like a million bucks compared to those two.

**Craig Carton** (1:38)
Don't we all? As a matter of fact, yeah. Willie was sweating through a shirt yesterday. Big Mack sweats through every shirt that he ever had.

**Zach Gelb** (1:45)
Big Boner's college shirt was Willie Colon's.

**Craig Carton** (1:47)
And I was trying to do something today because just right to bust Big Mack's balls for taking a random day off last minute, which is what he did for yesterday and for today. And I'm going to book a lot of Yankee guests. So I think Brian Cashman is going to join us today. I think Ann Boone is going to swing on by today.
Jazz Chisholm is going to swing on by today.
Hal Steinbrenner is coming in studio. No, so I just sort of be like, hey, look, you want to take random days off because you can't figure out child care. Those are the days. I did it to Evan. Evan took a random day off for no reason at all. So I did the Commissioner's Summit that day. And I had Gary Bettman and Adam Silver and Rob Manfred on because Evan wasn't here. And I was thinking about doing that to Big Mac. The problem with that is he is such a lunatic Yankee fan that I would honestly be worried about his well-being and have the cops up in the morgue do a wellness check on him because he wouldn't be okay with it if I did those interviews because there are people he'd want to ask questions about that I wouldn't even think to ask questions about. Like, you know, who's the best third baseman in the miners? I don't know nor do I care. But he'd probably say, hey, we bring in some Savinsky up, you know, that kind of thing. So I don't think that's happening today, but I did tour with the idea.

**Zach Gelb** (3:09)
If you had like Jeter on or Cashman on today, I think you guys would turn into Chisholm and Santana, except there would actually be some punches through.

**Craig Carton** (3:16)
Am I supposed to know who those guys are, Pete? Chisholm and Santana. Is that a reference to last night's non-fight?

**Zach Gelb** (3:22)
The lollipop guy, you may remember him from earlier in the season.

**Craig Carton** (3:25)
Yeah, it's so, you know, it's funny to me. I'm obviously watching the game last night, and it's like, oh, here we go. A lot of nothing's about to happen. And there's been a handful of legitimate baseball fights. Obviously, the most notable still probably Nolan Ryan and Robert Ventura and all the uppercuts that old man Nolan Ryan's making him eat. But the worst thing about the potential for a baseball fight is that we all know there's not going to be a fight.
