Rated PG-13 may be inappropriate for children under 13 Sometimes it is just as important to know who not to draft as it is who to draft. Who to avoid versus who to target. So today's show, the five wide receivers we would not touch with a 10-foot pole based on their current draft slot. Hayden, take it away. Who's named number one?
**Hayden Winks** (1:24)
This pains me because I've loved Courtland Sutton, but I do have him as a strict fade here. He's gonna be 30 years old. In comes Jalen Waddell. And if you just look at the history of the Sean Payton offense, a lot of like quick hitting stuff, a lot of manufacturer touches, those were never going to Courtland Sutton. Those are definitely gonna be going to Jalen Waddell. You still have to worry about Marvin Mimms, Troy Franklin, RJ. Harvey, some of the tight end stuff they have. So I just think that the Courtland Sutton target share is gonna drop from 21% last year. He was the wide receiver 19 unexpected points. I think he's gonna not come close to those numbers just because I think that Jalen Waddell obviously trade a first rounder plus for him. They're gonna have a huge game plan there. He's still priced as a wide receiver three. I think he's gonna be a very inconsistent wide receiver for half PPR best ball. It's okay. A lot of you guys play full PPR redraft. I think the target share is gonna come down. And last note for him, the Broncos are 21st in projected points right now in the betting markets. Last year, the Broncos fully held the offensive line. Bo Nix was healthy. Courtland Sutton was healthy. They were 15th in scoring. So I think some regression just based off of the really lucky season from the Broncos on offense.
I think that's just gonna get a slight tick down as Bo Nix comes off this ankle injury.
Too many red flags for me.

Well, and the other thing we talk about is when your defense can literally win two games, your offense doesn't have to score as many points. So while so often people cite, well, bad defenses lead to us score more fancy points. The two best defenses in the league or three best can prevent your offense from having to chase that ceiling every single time. Right now, Courtland Sutton is the wide receiver 38, the eighth pick of the seventh round. It's interesting. The markets think he's going to hang on to those receiving totals. He's projected for around 775 receiving yards. That's more than Brian Thomas Jr. who is going ahead of Courtland Sutton. That's more than Parker Washington, who is going ahead of Courtland Sutton. That's more than Mackay Lemon, who is going ahead of Courtland Sutton. So one area for me that he might be able to jump up a little bit, it's interesting when you look back at the 2025 Denver Broncos, Troy Franklin actually led this team in targets inside of the 20 yard line with 18, caught 14 of those for four touchdowns. I mean, a 77% catch rate in that area of the field.
That might be one of, if not, the highest percentages across the NFL.
And I wouldn't be surprised if Troy Franklin is now like the water 0-4 on this team behind Jaylen Waddle, Courtland Sutton, and Pat Bryant. And so I do wonder, since he was second last year Sutton, if he can do better than just six receptions on 17 targets inside the red zone last year.
