#3481: In the City S1E11: When The Lights Go Out In The City

Watch What Crappens

July 29, 2026

In The City wraps up its first reunion by revisiting the endless Lindsay-Danielle feud before taking one last victory lap around the demise of Kymanda. The real fun, however, is watching Andy’s increasingly bored sighs and suppressed yawns. Farewell to the Amanda Batula era of Bravo.
Speakers: Ben Mandelker, Ronnie Karam

Hello and welcome to Watch What Crappens, a podcast about all that crap on Bravo we just love to talk about. And Ben Mandelker, joining me today is the mustachioed and glorious Ronnie Karam. Hi Ronnie, how are you?

**Ronnie Karam** (0:35)
Well, hello, what's going on with you?

**Ben Mandelker** (0:38)
Not much, hump day, hump day at Crappens. We're midway through our 12 episode week.
Programming note, we are actually not going to be covering Next Gen New York City this week, mainly because we have too much. It's too much. We had to take find a sacrificial lamb. So we adore that show, obviously. But it's also a really, really, really hard show to recap because it just bounces around so much. And we just said, you know what? It's too much. So there will be no Next Gen this week, just taking a little one week break to save our sanity.

**Ronnie Karam** (1:16)
But there will be Real Housewives of London.

**Ben Mandelker** (1:20)
Yes, Real Housewives of London. There will be a fresh new recap of that. So there will still be content. And if that upsets you, then there are 11 other episodes to listen to.
Anyway, if you want to see Ronnie's mustache, well, guess what? You've got two options. You can go over to YouTube and subscribe over there because we have a growing YouTube channel that you all should be part of and join. You can see his face over there, but you won't see it for a week because our videos live first on Patreon. There's an exclusive window for one week on patreon.com/watch what crappens. So sign up there at the crappens on demand level and you can get access to video. Of course, there are bonus episodes this week. We did a trailer trash of the new Rony trailer and also Ronnie, I believe, shared some tales about going to see the Odyssey. And we also have Discord and just ad free listening and newsletter, all that good stuff. So go check that out and, you know, live your greatest Watch What Crappens life. Now today we bid official adieu to the Amanda Batula era of Bravo, her final reunion on her final show before she sails off into the midday sun, not into the sunset, just into the midday sun with Wes Wilson.
And so we're here, end of the line for Amanda, end of the line for In The City Reunion, part two, how are you feeling?

**Ronnie Karam** (2:48)
She might be on In The City season two, right?

**Ben Mandelker** (2:52)
Oh, really? I guess that is possible, I suppose.
But let's, all we know for now is that it's a question mark of a future for her.

**Ronnie Karam** (3:05)
Yeah, I have a feeling she'll be back for In The City, part two, because they love this Kyle and Amanda arguing shit. They love it. It's another-

**Ben Mandelker** (3:13)
Yeah, they might bring her back.

**Ronnie Karam** (3:15)
At least half of this episode is more Kyle and Amanda arguing. Someone DMed me and was like, I'm really sick of you guys talking so much about Kyle and Amanda. And you know what? I agree. I am sick of talking about them as well. So congrats to us that this is the last time for a while. It's a lot to put anybody through. I mean, listening to us talk about it, watching them do it, it's been two full shows, two seasons right in a row of Amanda and Kyle, nonstop, going at each other. You're both terrible partners.
Please just end it. Put us out of our misery. Oh my God.

**Ben Mandelker** (3:56)
It's not two seasons. It's 10 years. It's 10 years of this bullshit. But one last trip to the rodeo. But it's 10 years and it's like summer house. It's In The City. It's winter house.
It's just everything. It's just everywhere.

**Ronnie Karam** (4:14)
Well, it's just like two seasons back to back.

**Ben Mandelker** (4:17)
Oh, I see what you're saying. Yeah. Oh yeah, you're right. It's been like a stretch, a big stretch. Well, guess what?
We're here to do it one last time. Hopefully, we can get through it easily.
Where you start off with Whitney still on the defense from Lindsay about the mom card stuff. And Whitney's reminding Lindsay that she has apologized for accusing her of using the mom card. And Lindsay has now announced, well, you're gonna need about 15 more apologies to any mom in the entire world. Still there you go. You know, Whitney was like, only 15 more apologies? There's only 15 moms left? No, 15 per mom. So wait a second. Is it 15 for every mom I encounter? Or is it the first 15 women that I meet?
